Pez Cantina is a coastal Mexican seafood restaurant founded by husband-and-wife team Lucy Ramirez Thompson and Chef Bret Thompson. For nearly a decade, we’ve brought the vibrant flavors of Loreto, Baja California and the richness of Lucy’s Mexican culinary roots to the heart of Downtown Los Angeles.

At the core of Pez Cantina are recipes passed down through Lucy’s family, crafted with locally sourced ingredients from masa made in East LA to fresh Pacific seafood. With family working alongside us in the kitchen, every dish reflects both tradition and innovation.
